Before You Head Our Way
We’re so excited to celebrate with you at Stone River Glen! Tucked away in a remote corner of Colorado, this place holds a very special history for us. It’s the same place where Abbie spent her summers at camp growing up, and it sits just across the creek from her family’s cabin - one of the many reasons we’ve always loved it so much.
That also means there are a few things to know before you make the trip. Please read through this page before heading our way, and screenshot or save anything you may need before leaving Carbondale.
Getting to Stone River Glen
Stone River Glen
27862 County Road 12
Somerset, CO 81434
Important: Carbondale is the last reliable place to expect cell service before heading toward the venue. Please load your directions, screenshot them, and download an offline map before leaving town. Once you lose service, you will not be able to pull directions back up.
From Carbondale:
Turn onto CO-133 South
Continue on CO-133 for approximately 41.5 miles, all the way up the pass (and maybe make a stop at Redstone for ice cream, or Hayes Creek Falls to stretch your legs!)
You will go all the way to the top of the pass and back down it, be prepared for windy roads.
Continue on 133, you will pass a dried reservoir on your left
At the Crested Butte / Kebler Pass Sign, take a left on to County Road 12 towards the Kebler Corner general store
Continue approximately 3.3 miles, the paved road will turn into dirt
Keep going until you see the Stone River Glen Sign and a large the wood awning, turn right into here
Continue approximately 0.5 miles down the road, over the bridge
Take a left at the Fork following the Stone River Glen signs
Stone River Glen will be at the end of the road.
We strongly recommend filling up your gas tank, downloading your maps / having it preloaded and taking care of anything that requires cell service before leaving Carbondale.
Help us build the playlist!
Since we’ll be celebrating somewhere wonderfully remote (and without cell service!), we’re downloading all of our music ahead of time. Have a song you’d love to hear at the wedding? Send it our way!
Whether it’s a dance-floor favorite, a song that always reminds you of us, or just something you think would get everyone moving, we’d love to hear your requests.
Use the form below to send us your picks — we’ll do our best to have them ready to go when the music starts!
An Unplugged Weekend
There is no cell service and no Wi-Fi at the venue.
We know that feels a little unusual these days, but we’re embracing it! Consider this your excuse to put your phone away, enjoy the mountains, meet some new people and be fully present for the weekend.
There is a landline available at the property for emergencies.
Because service is limited, please coordinate plans, rides, directions and anything else you may need before arriving at the venue.
Come Prepared for Colorado Weather
There is shelter available at the venue if the weather turns nasty, but please come prepared to be comfortable outside.
We recommend bringing:
A warm jacket or coat
Rain jacket or rain gear
Comfortable shoes for uneven outdoor terrain
An extra layer for the evening
Even if the forecast looks perfect when you leave home, bring a coat anyway. You’ll be glad you have it once the sun goes down.
Camping at the Venue
For anyone who would like to stay on property, tent camping is available for $10 per night.
Campers will have access to bathroom facilities and showers.
Please bring everything you need for your campsite and plan to pack out all of your gear and trash when you leave. We want to make sure we leave this property exactly as we found it.
Make a Weekend of It
If you have some extra time before or after the wedding, this is an incredible time of year to explore this part of Colorado.
A few ideas nearby include driving Kebler Pass, which should be gorgeous with the fall colors, or hiking Dark Canyon, just up the road from the venue.
You can also head toward Paonia and the North Fork Valley for apple picking, fresh cider, wineries, orchards and plenty of places to spend a relaxed afternoon.
One Last Reminder
Download your directions. Bring a jacket. Fill up your gas tank. And then enjoy being offline for a little while.
We can’t wait to have you out there with us!
